Pickups will be on Tuesdays from 4-7 p.m. at my house at 611 W. Union St. in Champaign, Illinois. A table will be set up in front of my garage, which is behind the house. If a Brackett CSA member cannot or forgets to pick up his or her share at the appointed time, a phone call is all that is needed to arrange a mutually convenient alternate pickup time.
The season will run from Tuesday, May 25, through Tuesday, November 2, 2010. OPTIONAL: A limited selection will be available during the "Preseason", approximately 3-4 weeks before the start of the "Official Season", depending, of course, on growing conditions. Similarly, the "Post-Season", for those still interested in getting vegetables, is usually 6-8 weeks after the "Official Season" ends, and both preseason and post-season items are on a cash-and-carry basis only.
The cost of a share will be $17 per week, which will be $408 for the 24-week season, plus a $17 administrative fee for a total of $425. This is payable as a lump sum, or as installments.
The payment schedule for those who prefer to pay in installments will be as follows:
December 1, 2009--$75 January 15, 2010--$75
February 15, 2010--$75
March 15, 2010--$75
April 15, 2010--$75
May 15, 2010--$50
Anyone wanting to respond to this after these dates should not panic. There's still time to join. One can either pay the lump sum, catch up on installments, or make other payment arrangements.
The total $425 should be paid before the first pick-up so that I can be done with paperwork and devote my attention to growing.
